Our mandate

CASDDA
is an educational and charitable association composed of volunteers.  Its mandate is to provide
free of charge, communities, locally, nationally and  internationally with trained dogs and trained handlers primarily for the Search and the Rescue of survivors trapped in the wilderness or disaster areas, and secondly,  for the recovery of bodies from disaster areas.

We also make our search services available, free of charge, to any relevant agencies and authorities to be used as they see fit.

Our mandate requires the extreme dedication of our members, and our volunteer handlers train long hours every week with their dogs, in cold as well as in hot weather.  They are willing to leave their personal and professional lives on a phone call notice, often suffering loss of wages.

This website is as much an introduction to our association as it is a tribute to our volunteers and their K-9 partners.
